This week seems like an excellent time to talk about some good places to take your dog when there is literally so much snow you can’t even.

When there are no sidewalks and the snow is waist deep, giving your dog a daily dose of exercise can be challenging. This might be well and good if your dog doesn’t particularly like cold weather, but Dallas thrives in these conditions. She loves the snow so much. Belchers Marsh Park Makes it Easy to Get Your Daily Dose of Nature

I continue to be amazed by all of the awesome places to go on dogventures right in our backyards. HRM has done a pretty great job of preserving lots of beautiful green space, even as it expands into the suburbs.

Take the Belchers Marsh Park for example. You probably wouldn’t expect to find a vibrant marsh and a pretty winding trail tucked in behind a bunch of apartment buildings in Clayton Park. Yet there it is.  Continue reading

In honour of the long weekend, we’re celebrating this #FetchFriday a day early.

Glorious, wonderful summer has arrived in the HRM. Which means the winter off-leash sports fields are back to their regular status, i.e. no dogs allowed until November 1st. But we can’t complain. Nothing says summer quite like hordes of running, yelling (and adorable) kids in soccer jerseys and softball uniforms.  Continue reading
