Spider Lake Trails

The Spider Lake Trail system is a web of interconnected wooded trails spanning a huge area in Waverley.   The trails are popular among mountain bikers and ATVers, but on a snowy Saturday in January (for example), they make for a pretty great dogventure destination.  I’m not sure how long and far the trails extend, but we walked for half an hour before turning around to head home, and it seemed like there was still a ton of trail left to explore.

How to Get There

Drive up Prince Albert Road (which turns into Waverley Road), or from the Circumferential Highway (Hwy 111) take exit 6A (if you’re headed east) or exit 6 (if you’re headed west) for Prince Albert Road to Waverley.  Continue up Waverley Road for about ten minutes (7km), and turn right onto Spider Lake Road. The trailhead is at the end of Spider Lake Road.
