Who would have thought there would be a lovely little wilderness trail in the heart of Burnside? The Spectacle Lake Trail (aka Burnside Trail) is a lesser know (read: super private) crushed gravel and boardwalk trail with awesome lake access. And we saw only one other human the whole time we were there. If you’re looking for someplace a bit quieter to go for a stroll or to take your pooch swimming, this is a great option.

How to Get There

From Highway 111 (the Circumferential Hwy), take exit 3 to Burnside Drive. Turn right onto Commodore Drive, and then take the first left onto Spectacle Lake Drive. Continue to the end.
