High Head Trail

The High Head Trail is part of an area known as the Dr. Bill Freedman Nature Reserve. I know I say this a lot, but this might be our favourite trail. The High Head Trail offers a varied terrain, without being overly challenging. The views are stunning. And at 4 kilometres each way, the High Head Trail makes for a perfect 2-hour dog-friendly seaside stroll. You may not even see another soul.

How to Get There

From the Armdale Rotary, take the exit onto St Margaret’s Bay Road, and continue for 3.7 km. Then turn left onto NS 333 W / Prospect Road, and continue for 14 km. Slight left onto Prospect Bay Rd, and continue for 7 km. Turn right onto Indian Point Road. The trailhead for High Head Trail is at the end of the road. You can park on the road.
